LaonRoad and Inavi Systems Sign Partnership for Smart City Development and Global Expansion
LaonRoad, a subsidiary of LaonPeople, has signed a strategic partnership with Inavi Systems—a mobility map platform developer under Thinkware—to collaborate on global smart city projects.
LaonRoad (CEO Suk-Joong Lee), an AI-based smart transportation solutions company, announced on the 15th that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with precision-mapping specialist Inavi Systems (Co-CEOs Deuk-Young Sung and Eun-Bok Lee). The agreement aims to jointly pursue domestic and international smart city initiatives by integrating digital twin technologies and transportation data solutions.
Under the partnership, the two companies will cooperate on:
- Building domestic public-sector digital-twin–based smart cities
- Jointly entering smart city and transportation markets in countries such as Thailand
- Improving analysis and utilization of traffic information using high-precision maps
- Interconnecting their advanced map platforms
- Developing next-generation traffic solutions based on generative AI
LaonRoad will contribute its expertise in AI-powered transportation infrastructure, real-time edge-computing devices (AI-MEC), and generative-AI–based traffic monitoring solutions. Inavi Systems will provide its proprietary precision maps, integrated map platform, global API coverage, and related technologies. Together, the companies plan to jointly participate in major public and private sector projects, including digital-twin traffic management initiatives.
A LaonRoad official stated,

Inavi Systems also plans to strengthen its competitiveness in global markets by collaborating with LaonRoad’s ongoing smart city and AI transportation projects in Thailand and other Asian regions, leveraging its digital-twin expertise and precision-mapping technology.
