LaonPeople Signs Agreement with ROK Defense Command for Generative AI Solution Deployment
Joint Promotion of AI Adoption and Pilot Projects in the Defense Sector

LaonPeople’s generative AI technology is set to be applied within the defense and military sectors.
AI solutions provider LaonPeople (CEO Suk-Joong Lee) announced on the 27th that it has signed a business agreement with the Republic of Korea Defense Command (ROK Defense Information & Communications Command) to collaborate on applying generative AI technology to defense operations, as well as jointly promoting AI pilot and verification projects across multiple domains.
The signing ceremony, held at LaonPeople’s headquarters, outlined several areas of cooperation, including:
- Joint research on applying generative AI to defense missions
- Provision of testbeds for AI deployment in military and defense environments
- Support for training programs on generative AI and advanced AI technologies
- Joint execution of AI pilot and proof-of-concept projects
LaonPeople and the Defense Command also agreed to undertake collaborative R&D projects, hold regular meetings and workshops, and share research materials—aiming to explore practical applications of generative AI and advance the adoption of next-generation AI technologies in the defense sector.
The ceremony was attended by LaonPeople CEO Suk-Joong Lee, CTO Ki-Wook Yoon, and key officials from the Defense Command, including Commander Major General Jae-Myung Cho, who discussed strategic initiatives and specific areas where AI could enhance defense-related operations.
