LaonPeople Reports 1,858% Surge in Revenue Driven by Subsidiary Performance

AI Inspection Business Expansion Expected to Further Improve Earnings

AI specialist LaonPeople announced a dramatic increase in revenue, posting KRW 220 billion on a consolidated basis last year, representing a 1,858% year-over-year surge, according to its regulatory disclosure on performance fluctuations exceeding 30%.

The company attributed the sharp rise primarily to the consolidation effect following the inclusion of its cloud MSP subsidiary, with subsidiary TDG showing significant revenue growth and contributing heavily to the overall performance.

LaonPeople emphasized that growth is being driven not only by subsidiary performance but also by the company’s broader AI business diversification efforts. The company reported meaningful increases in revenue from its AI vision inspection business across secondary battery manufacturers, semiconductor producers, mobile device makers, and related manufacturing companies. With ongoing contracts in its AI platform and generative AI businesses, LaonPeople expects revenue contributions across multiple sectors beginning this year.

In Thailand, the company is nearing the transition of its generative AI–based disaster detection pilot project into a full-scale deployment, with plans to expand into provincial smart city development projects. If executed, these initiatives are expected to strengthen LaonPeople’s global business presence, supporting both revenue growth and enhanced corporate competitiveness.

LaonPeople noted that order recovery in the first half of the year will serve as a critical turning point, as the company aims to secure improvement in earnings and establish a momentum for overall business rebound.
