LaonPeople and Isu Petasys Launch 5-Year Manufacturing AX Project
AI Specialist Aims to Boost Production by 20% Using Generative AI and Autonomous Agents
LaonPeople, an AI specialist company, is collaborating with PCB manufacturer Isu Petasys to participate in a five-year autonomous manufacturing innovation project. LaonPeople aims to enhance Isu Petasys’s productivity by approximately 20% using generative AI and autonomous agent technology.
This collaboration is part of the ‘2025 AI Factory Alliance’ project, overseen by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, for which Isu Petasys was selected. The consortium includes companies and research institutes specializing in semiconductors, AI, and manufacturing innovation, such as the Korea Textile Machinery Research Institute, UlalaLAB, Ilju G&S, and STC Engineering, with support also provided by Daegu Metropolitan City.
LaonPeople will be responsible for implementing manufacturing site intelligence through its proprietary Generative AI Agent Platform, ‘Hi FENN.’ Hi FENN realizes a smart manufacturing environment by providing a Generative AI portal that allows for the natural language search and utilization of manufacturing data, alongside autonomous manufacturing agents that analyze data to predict anomalies and respond proactively.
Furthermore, the company plans to develop a standard data model to ensure the efficient utilization of data by the AI agents and will use this model to improve production line operational efficiency. The strategy involves maximizing production yields by applying AI models for automatic process recipe recommendation and proactive defect prediction.
A LaonPeople official stated, “Through this project, we will rapidly disseminate the Hi FENN-based autonomous manufacturing AX solution to domestic production sites. We are committed to contributing to an increase in the productivity of South Korea’s manufacturing sector by over 20% within the next three to five years.”
