LaonPeople Aims to Pioneer Future Markets with UAM, Robotics, and Cognitive Digital Twin Integration
Exhibits Smart City–Optimized Solutions at WSCE 2025

LaonPeople, an AI solutions company (CEO Suk-Joong Lee), participated in the 2025 WSCE (World Smart Expo Korea) together with its subsidiary LaonRoad, showcasing its next-generation transportation and urban surveillance solutions powered by generative AI, as well as its smart-city digital twin technologies.
At the National Smart City Demonstration Pavilion, LaonPeople and LaonRoad introduced smart-city-focused technologies to government agencies, municipal officials, and attendees. The lineup included:
1. Smart City Solutions: Autonomous cooperative driving, AI-based video surveillance, and safety systems
2. Smart Transportation Solutions: Traffic Analysis System (TAS), Traffic Management System (TMS), and Cognitive Digital Twin Network (DTN) technologies optimized for urban operations
The generative AI-powered next-generation video surveillance solution “Odin AI”, presented by LaonPeople, leverages a Vision-Language Model (VLM) and Large Language Model (LLM) to understand surveillance intent and detect unstructured events with high accuracy. The technology is already deployed at Incheon International Airport and Yongsan District Office, and internationally in Thailand through pilot projects for flood and disaster detection—establishing itself as a key solution expanding across global markets.
LaonRoad also unveiled a comprehensive lineup of next-generation technologies, including the AI-MEC (AI Multi-Access Edge Computing) system—the nation’s first edge-computing technology powered by a domestic AI semiconductor—autonomous cooperative driving infrastructure, on-device AI safety systems, traffic vision analysis solutions, traffic management platforms, and Cognitive Digital Twin Network technology.
Of particular note was the Cognitive Digital Twin, where AI agents autonomously process tasks, learning to perform interpretation, prediction, and decision-making—drawing strong interest from attendees. By integrating AI and cognitive digital twin technology into virtual environments, the system promises to enable futuristic smart cities that go beyond physical limitations.
Leveraging its competitive technologies—including generative AI fusion, smart transportation platforms, and NPU-powered domestic AI semiconductor capabilities—LaonPeople and LaonRoad aim to expand into future mobility sectors such as autonomous driving, IoT, urban air mobility (UAM), and robotics, pioneering new markets in the global smart-city industry.
WSCE 2025, held at BEXCO in Busan through July 17, features the latest smart-city innovations across construction, infrastructure, mobility, energy, environment, and AI industries from around the world.
