LaonPeople Accelerates Thailand Smart City Initiative with Successful On-Site AI Control System Validation

Laon People is accelerating progress on its ongoing AI Semiconductor Deployment Project in Thailand, announcing the successful completion of on-site testing for its AI control system equipped with a Korean-designed NPU.

According to the company, the validation was conducted in collaboration with officials from the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) and the Bung Kan Provincial Government. The review evaluated the operational status of the NPU-integrated AI control platform, the implementation progress of CCTV infrastructure, and the full spectrum of AI monitoring capabilities.
In particular, the inspection focused on flood-control functions and detection of vessel and traffic accidents—capabilities essential for the region, which is frequently affected by Mekong River flooding. Hardware, software, and the control system’s overall operational readiness were thoroughly assessed.

LaonPeople is currently deploying a disaster-safety monitoring system that utilizes generative AI to precisely detect and analyze flood and emergency scenarios around the Bung Kan area. The system provides step-by-step situational analysis and crisis response support. Based on the successful field validation, the company aims to further strengthen disaster-response capabilities, protect lives and property, and expand the initiative into a multi-modal AI control solution that forms the foundation of Bung Kan’s broader smart city development.

A Bung Kan provincial official who participated in the review stated, “Amid increasing annual flood and disaster damage, LaonPeople’s AI monitoring solution will enable systematic and effective response, minimizing losses. We will actively support the initiative so that Bung Kan becomes Thailand’s leading AI smart city model and the project expands nationwide.”

As Thailand pursues major initiatives under its ambition to become one of the world’s top 10 smart-city nations, LaonPeople continues to lead the deployment of flood-detection, disaster-response, and multi-modal AI control solutions in Bung Kan Province. The company plans to strengthen cooperation with Thai provincial governments and expand its role in the country’s smart city ecosystem.
