LaonPeople Accelerates AI Business Diversification ‘TDG Revenue Grows by Over 30%’

Expansion in Secondary Battery and Semiconductor Inspection Businesses; Thailand Projects Gain Traction

AI specialist LaonPeople (300120) is strengthening its business diversification strategy—expanding into new domestic and global markets—and is expected to deliver significantly improved performance starting in the first half of the year.

The company is seeing meaningful growth in its AI vision inspection business, a domain in which LaonPeople has maintained long-standing leadership. AI vision inspection technology is used to detect defects across manufacturing processes, equipment, and components. LaonPeople is broadening its market reach into secondary battery manufacturers, mobile device producers, and semiconductor companies, driving steady revenue expansion. With order volume increasing noticeably from Q1, the company is expected to secure stable revenue in the second half of 2025.

A major catalyst in LaonPeople’s AI expansion is the acquisition of TDG, a company generating over KRW 200 billion in annual revenue—an acquisition widely regarded as a strategic “game changer.” TDG, recognized as the industry’s top AI MSP (Managed Service Provider), recorded over 30% revenue growth last year, with an order backlog exceeding its annual revenue, underscoring the stability of its business.
Now fully integrated into LaonPeople’s consolidated financial statements, TDG continues to contribute positively as the two companies collaborate in AI cloud services and platform businesses, expanding LaonPeople’s operational scope.

LaonPeople is also advancing its international projects, particularly in Thailand, where it is conducting a pilot initiative to deploy a generative AI–based flood and disaster detection solution. The project has gained momentum after Thailand’s Vice Minister of Interior, Singsak Thongsi, and the Smart City Budget Committee visited LaonPeople’s headquarters to review technical feasibility.

In addition, Thailand is showing strong interest in adopting LaonPeople’s AI fire detection solutions. As electric vehicles and electric motorcycles increase nationwide under Thailand’s eco-friendly policies, fire-related incidents have become more frequent. Dense urban traffic further complicates rapid emergency response, creating high demand for intelligent early-warning systems.

LaonPeople recently deployed a generative AI–powered fire monitoring solution at the Yongsan District Office in Korea. During the Thai delegation’s visit, the company demonstrated early detection capabilities—identifying faint smoke and small flames, delivering automated alerts, and providing real-time response guidance to facility managers. This proactive approach to fire prevention received positive evaluations from Thai officials.
The company is actively expanding its fire detection business across Korea and international markets, supplying AI fire monitoring solutions to apartment complexes, public institutions, major shopping malls, airports, and ports—fueling strong performance expectations for the year.

Following its relocation to a new headquarters in Gwacheon last year, LaonPeople has pursued operational innovation by strengthening development environments, securing top-tier talent, and preparing for its “second leap forward.” With new business initiatives and global expansion accelerating in 2025, the market is watching closely to see whether LaonPeople will achieve both revenue growth and operating performance improvement through its diversification strategy.
