I’m here to introduce a domain-specific Agent created by the HI FENN team. Through collaboration with a customs brokerage firm, the HI FENN team has developed an AI Agent called “HSK Code Master,” which provides the HSK Code (Customs Code) for import and export products. HSK Code Master is currently in beta service, operating as a free beta from June 16, 2025, to July 16, 2025. Today, I want to share the problem we aimed to solve, how we utilized the Agent to solve it, and the value we seek to provide.

The HI FENN team has launched the beta version of the inference-type Customs Broker Agent service, “HSK Code Master,” proving that AI Agents can handle complex inference tasks in specialized domains (customs). This service was made possible through Agentic AI, Sequential Thinking technology, and extensive validation data from our collaborating customs brokerage firm.
Challenge : The Need for Reliable AI Item Classification
In 2025, with the full-scale implementation of mutual tariff systems by major countries, including the United States, significant changes came to import and export declaration practices. Due to the complex application of tariff regulations by country and item, the HSK Code entered into the declaration form has become more critical than ever.
The HSK Code is South Korea’s 10-digit item classification code, often called the ‘Korean Customs Code.’ When importing a product into or exporting it from South Korea, the tariff rate, customs clearance procedures, and eligibility for FTA preferential treatment are all determined by this single code. But did you know that this crucial HSK Code must be re-evaluated every time a new product is released?
It is practically difficult for a customs brokerage firm to grasp the precise item classification for every industry—from pharmaceuticals and semiconductors to machine parts—whenever they deal with a new client or product group. In an environment where new products emerge daily, finding the accurate HSK Code within a limited time frame places a considerable burden on practitioners. Ultimately, we concluded that there was a critical need for a service that could provide reliable item classification results that anyone could easily obtain using natural language.

HSK Code Master’s step-by-step inference verification is particularly advantageous when faced with ambiguous item descriptions. For instance, even if a user vaguely inputs “living chicken,” HSK Code Master can recommend all four possible HSK Codes, which are differentiated based on weight and purpose. This is because it automatically performs the following detailed classifications:
