LaonPeople Deploys ‘OdinAi’ to Enhance Safety Management at Incheon International Airport

Shuttle train equipped with generative AI system to detect risks inside the airport

LaonPeople has begun full-scale operation of its generative AI–powered safety management solution, OdinAi, at Incheon International Airport to enhance crowd monitoring and emergency response.

LaonPeople, a leading AI solutions company, announced on the 6th that it has successfully deployed OdinAi, a generative AI video analytics platform, to the airport’s shuttle trains. The system is designed to help passengers navigate safely and efficiently by identifying situations in real time based on image and video data.

Powered by large language models (LLM) and vision-language models (VLM), OdinAi analyzes relationships and intentions between objects within images and video streams, enabling advanced situational awareness. It also provides refined, text-based summaries, allowing airport operators to make faster and more accurate decisions.

Unlike conventional deep-learning video analytics solutions—which are limited to detecting predefined objects or events—OdinAi can identify unexpected, previously undefined events in real time. By combining natural-language explanations with contextual understanding, OdinAi delivers high accuracy across various industries and environments.

At Incheon International Airport, the system continuously monitors passenger volumes and congestion levels, issues alerts when restricted areas are breached, and supports operators in responding quickly to potential risks throughout the concourse.

A LaonPeople spokesperson noted,
“OdinAi can be applied across transportation hubs such as airports, railways, and ports, as well as construction sites and manufacturing facilities. It can also detect early signs of fires and disasters, making it a highly versatile next-generation monitoring solution for smart cities, smart factories, and beyond.”
