LaonPeople Deploys Generative AI Solution ‘OdinAi’ at Incheon International Airport

Installed on Airport Shuttle Train to Detect Real-Time Safety and Security Risks

LaonPeople has begun full-scale operation of its generative AI solution OdinAi, designed for safety incident management and real-time risk detection at Incheon International Airport.

The AI solutions company (CEO Seok-Joong Lee) announced on the 31st that it has integrated the OdinAi generative AI video analysis system into the airport’s shuttle train to help passengers navigate the terminal more safely and efficiently.

OdinAi, powered by LLM (Large Language Model) and VLM (Vision Language Model) technology, identifies and analyzes relationships and intentions between objects detected in images and video feeds. The system autonomously interprets situations and provides refined, real-time text summaries, enabling airport operators to respond swiftly and effectively to potential risks.

Unlike traditional deep-learning–based intelligent video systems—capable only of detecting predefined objects or events—OdinAi overcomes these limitations by recognizing previously undefined or novel events in real time. Through natural-language–based explanations and contextual analysis, the system delivers high-accuracy monitoring across a wide range of environments and industries, positioning it as a next-generation surveillance platform.

At Incheon Airport, OdinAi monitors real-time passenger volume and density inside the shuttle train and issues alerts when unauthorized individuals enter restricted or security-sensitive areas. This enables airport staff to quickly respond to congestion, safety hazards, or unusual events inside the terminal.

A LaonPeople representative stated,
OdinAi can be applied not only to airports but also to railways, ports, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities. It supports early detection of fires and disaster precursors, providing integrated monitoring functions within a single solution.
The spokesperson added that OdinAi is expected to serve as a comprehensive platform adaptable to smart factories, smart farms, and smart cities, offering broad applicability across future urban and industrial environments.
