LaonPeople Emerges as AI-Themed Stock Amid Expectations of Benefiting from Lee Jae-myung’s AI Election Pledges

Candidate Lee Highlights KRW 100 Trillion AI Investment Plan, Visits Smart Farm Innovation Valley

As presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung prepares to visit the Smart Farm Innovation Valley in the Honam region and announce plans to develop the area into a hub for advanced agri-bio industries, attention is turning to the AI smart-farming technologies of LaonPeople, a KOSDAQ-listed company with experience building large-scale government smart-farm complexes.

According to the Democratic Party, Lee will visit the Gimje Smart Farm Innovation Valley on the 25th to unveil a regional development strategy for Jeonbuk Province. This comes after Lee announced a KRW 100 trillion national investment plan for the AI sector, and after presenting a series of AI-focused regional pledges in Gwangju—including establishing a National AI Computing Center, founding an AI Industry Promotion Agency, and supporting AI semiconductor development optimized for the Honam region. His upcoming policy speech in Gimje is expected to emphasize transforming the region into an advanced agri-bio hub using smart farming and other AI-driven technologies.

With these developments, LaonPeople is drawing increasing attention as a potential “AI-themed beneficiary stock” linked to Lee’s campaign promises.
LaonPeople has played a central role in major government-led smart farming projects, signing agreements with the Rural Development Administration for AI-based smart agriculture and securing a leading position in the sector.

The company notably partnered with the local government of Andong—Lee’s hometown—forming a consortium to construct a massive smart-farm complex exceeding 20% of the size of Yeouido, contributing to rural revitalization through AI-powered smart farming, training young farmers, securing agricultural data, and developing new farming methods to strengthen future food competitiveness.

Recognized as a “Promising Small and Medium Enterprise” by Gyeonggi Province, LaonPeople also shares a long-standing connection with Lee Jae-myung.
During Lee’s tenure as Mayor of Seongnam and Governor of Gyeonggi Province, the company earned multiple distinctions, including certification as an Excellent Corporate Research Institute by the Ministry of Science and ICT, recognition as a top employment-creating company in Seongnam, Korea’s 11th Innovative Medical Device certification, designation as a KOSDAQ Rising Star, and ranking as Korea’s No.1 AI company with global attention.

More recently, LaonPeople relocated its headquarters to Gwacheon and acquired a KRW 240 billion cloud company to strengthen development of AI–cloud convergence solutions.
