LaonPeople Begins Deployment of AI Control System in Bueng Kan Province, Thailand

Strengthening Strategic Partnership to Become Thailand’s AI Smart City Hub

Bueng Kan Province in Thailand is accelerating its AI initiatives by partnering with LaonPeople as part of its strategy to become a leading AI smart city hub.

LaonPeople, a South Korea–based AI technology company (CEO Seok-Joong Lee), announced on the 22nd that it has received the official business approval from the Bueng Kan Provincial Government and has commenced the “AI Control System Deployment Project.”

The project aims to enhance Bueng Kan’s capabilities in traffic management, crime prevention, and disaster response by leveraging generative AI and multi-modal fusion detection technologies. It also seeks to support the province’s digital transformation efforts and the establishment of a next-generation smart city powered by AI.

LaonPeople’s OdinAI—an advanced surveillance and analytics solution that integrates LLM (Large Language Model) and VLM (Vision-Language Model)—is designed to surpass the limitations of traditional vision AI. OdinAI excels in contextual and situational analysis, detecting object intent and abnormal behavior with high precision. It automatically generates real-time summaries and analytical reports, and provides preemptive risk predictions and response scenarios, enabling early intervention before accidents occur. As an autonomous AI agent, OdinAI is expected to play a central role as a core infrastructure component in future smart city deployments.

As a first phase, LaonPeople will upgrade the existing system at the Bueng Kan Provincial Government’s AI Control Center, introducing new servers, installing additional AI-powered CCTV systems, and deploying the OdinAI solution. By the end of this year, the company will establish the foundational components of the province’s smart city master plan and, following successful demonstrations, plans to expand the project into large-scale deployments across Thailand.

A LaonPeople representative stated, “We will apply our technology across various domains—from AI-driven traffic control to crime prevention systems—so that Bueng Kan can solidify its position as Thailand’s leading AI smart city hub. As the project progresses, we will also contribute to developing Thailand’s digital ecosystem by supporting AI workforce training, technology collaboration, social contribution initiatives, and ESG-focused activities such as community development and environmental improvements.”

LaonPeople previously completed a pilot project in Bueng Kan using OdinAI to deliver real-time disaster detection and automated response scenarios. The company also announced plans to expand its services into broader areas including traffic management, public safety, law enforcement support, and disaster response.
